Bulgurcu Vakfı, kadın mühendisleri hayatın her alanında var olduğunu görmek ve onları bu
yolda desteklemek üzere 2021 tarihinde İstanbul’da kurulmuştur. Kendisi de eğitim hayatında
ailesini her zaman gururlandırmış başarılı bir mühendis olan Gözde Bulgurcu’nun ülkemizde daha
çok kadın mühendis yetişmesine dayanan umudunu ve hayallerini gerçekleştirmeyi görev bilen
vakfın hedef kitlesi Gözde gibi alanında başarılı ve bu bilinçte olan kadın mühendis adaylarıdır.
Özellikle kadın mühendislerin seçilmesinin nedeni, Türkiye’de ve dünyada STEM (Science,
Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) mesleklerinde çalışan kadınların cinsiyetlerinden dolayı
başka meslek gruplarında çalışan kadınlardan daha fazla ayrımcılığa maruz kalmasıdır.
Kadın mühendisleri bir çatı altında toplayıp onlara eğitim hayatlarında hem maddi
hem de manevi yönden destek olmayı ilke edinmiştir.
The Bulgurcu Foundation was established in 2021 in Istanbul with the aim of seeing women engineers thrive in all areas of life and supporting them on this path. The Foundation is committed to realizing the hopes and dreams of Gözde Bulgurcu—a successful engineer who always made her family proud throughout her education—by contributing to the education of more women engineers in Türkiye.
The Foundation’s target group is women engineering students who, like Gözde, are successful in their field and conscious of their role in shaping the future. The specific focus on women engineers stems from the fact that, both in Türkiye and around the world, women working in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) fields face more discrimination due to their gender than women working in other professions.
The Foundation is dedicated to bringing women engineers together under one roof and supporting them throughout their education—both financially and emotionally.
